Microsoft vs Apple-The Great Debate

by Robert Whitlow on August 16, 2009

apple-logo-currentIt’s gone on for years now, “Should I get an Mac or PC.” Here’s my take on things: First of all let me say that I’m an Apple guy, but I’ll do my best to be fair. I’m going to give you guys some facts about both Companies

Let me start out with Apple.

  • Apple was first introduced by Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak, and Ronald Wayne on April 1st, 1976.
  • The trio begun selling the first “Apple Computer Kit” July 1976 for $666.66.
  • Apple was incorporated on January 3rd, 1977, without Wayne who sold his share of the company back to Jobs and Wozniak.
  • The Apple II series was released on April 16th 1977, about one year after the official release of the Apple I.
  • In 1978 Jobs began working on the Apple Lisa.
  • In 1984 Apple launched the Macintosh.
  • In 1991 Apple introduced the PowerBook.
  • On August 15th 1998 Apple introduced an all-in-one computer, the iMac

Now for some of Apple’s bestselling products:

  1. iMac
  2. iPhone
  3. iPod-iPod Nano, iPod Shuffle, iPod Touch, and the iPod Classic
  4. MacBook Pro
  5. MacBook Air
  6. MacBook

Now I’m going to give you some facts about Microsoft. Probably won’t be as much as Apple because Microsoft Sucks. But I’ll let you guys do the deciding on who you like.

Now for Microsoft:

3683790

HAHA!!

Now there’s some key points in each of the companies history, now I leave it up to you decide whether it’s going to be a Mac or PC. Hope you guys enjoyed this post.

WR Jarret looks good in Panthers training camp

by Robert Whitlow on August 7, 2009

D049510010.jpgOutside of a bruised wrist that kept him from finishing practice on Thursday (it’s minor), things have been going well for third-year Carolina Panthers WR Dwayne Jarrett.

Jarrett is off to a fast start in camp, fully realizing that this is a big year for him.

Jarrett had six catches as a rookie and 10 last season and the Panthers are anxious to see if he can be the team’s No. 2 receiver at some point in the future. Veteran Muhsin Muhammad, who turned 36 in May, is in the final year of his contract with the Panthers and the obvious hope is that Jarrett can be the guy who eventually takes his place.

“I’m waiting for my chance,” Jarrett said. “I got a little bit last year. It’s definitely a key year for me, I think. Just to go out and help the team win. It’s not even about me. It’s about the team first. Whatever I can do just so we can get to that big game I’m willing to do, whether it’s about blocking or catching or whatever it is.”

Jarrett said this year is a “cakewalk” compared to his previous two seasons in terms of knowing his assignments.

“Totally, it’s like night and day,” he said. “I go out there and I don’t have to think about it. I go out there execute my assignments and let my talent take over.”

Jarrett said the light went on for him in the middle of last season when he began to see the big picture.

“I began to understand the offense and the ins and outs and why this person did this or that,” he said. “I didn’t understand just what I did, but the whole offense. Once you get the grip on that it makes it so much easier for you and the quarterback to be on the same page when you see what he sees. That makes the whole thing so much easier.”

Jarrett has made several nice catches in traffic and shown some flash. He also seems to be approaching things the right way, something that hasn’t been lost on his teammates.
